Ken John

Ken was introduced to the Crossfit methodology and interval style training when he was working towards a personal training certification and training for work in 2009. Ken began focussing more on Crossfit specifically around 2011 when coworker’s who were involved in it, furthered his knowledge and he was hooked.  He taught himself many of the movements and did the workouts in his gym at home and at work following the main site programming or creating his own WODs.

Ken has always been looking for new fitness related challenges. Ken has a sport background in Martial Arts, soccer, track and field and weight training since high school. He went through a number of years running long distance obstacle courses and the past few years he’s been running half marathons in the spring and summer.

“For me it gave me a sport that I could truly love and excel at. I enjoyed soccer but I always loved working out and just being fit and healthy. Crossfit provided a dedicated sport for that! Along with that came a community of like minded people who weren’t meat heads or gym rats. People who wanted to be fit for the sake of health and wellbing and embraced all encompassing health. So not only excercise but healthy eating and healthy lives outside of the gym with family and friends.”
