YOW CODE

YOW House Code

1. RESPECT OTHERS – COACHES & ATHLETES

Respect their space and their choices.

Show up on time.

2. CHECK YOUR EGO AT THE DOOR

For your own safety and development, your ego must be checked at the door. Listen to your coaches – they are there to push you to scale up or scale down when necessary.

3. CLEAN YOUR SH!T

Chalk happens but leaving body prints, dust clouds and chunks of chalk on the floor, rig or equipment is not acceptable or respectful. Rags, the vacuum and cleaner are always available.

4. ENCOURAGE OTHERS

We are a community!

Cheer each other on and lift each other up – high fives, fist bumps, yells and words of encouragement are welcomed.

5. BE ACCOUNTABLE

Track your movements and progressions (SugarWOD is your friend), hold yourself to high movement standards in both quality and quantity. Don’t cheat your reps or range of motion – the only one who loses is yourself.

6. DON’T ABUSE THE EQUIPMENT

Treat it as if it were your own. Empty bars, kettlebells, dumbbells are not to be dropped. Bars with less than 35s on each side are not to be dropped from overhead.

Lastly, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, have FUN and ENJOY the opportunity and the experience of getting better everyday.
